APOSTILLE

Apostille Certificates and Document Legalisation Service

An Apostille must be added to a UK document for it to be accepted overseas. The Apostille is added by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and this is commonly known as ‘Legalisation’.

Legalisation is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a document is genuine. The document should then be recognised by any member state that joined the Hague Convention.
